Why are the ground control folks wearing environmental suits?
Allegedly, the x-37b is powered by rocket engines, and electricity is generated by solar panels that pop open outside the cargo bay.
So, why the suits?
Nothing hazardous is on board, at least environmental hazards.
Unless it is powered by a thorium reactor.

A thorium reactor might provide enough joules to power a directed-energy weapon.

This "plane" has made repeated voyages into outer space quite successfully. Directed energy weapon on board? Questionable. An accident would release a lot of radioactive matter into the environment.
