On the one hand, I’m pleasantly surprised. Warren Beatty surely slept with thousands of females, and yet the media have protected him from almost all charges of sexual harassment and rape. On the other hand, he allegdly committed the grooming and rape 49 years ago! How can the lawsuit not violate the statute of limitations? Well, california passed a law, which sounds utterly unconstitutional, dropping the sol for three years. Then again, why did the alleged vic, Kristina Charlotte Hirsch, by now at least 63 years old, wait so long?

I've written about this before but I think it bears repeating: I have no idea what Beatty is capable of but when a man has been with possibly thousands of women in his life, what are the odds he might encounter one, or a few, unethical enough to accuse him of something in order to get a payout of some kind? Regular guys can only look on with envy at rich, good looking, famous men who live in Hollywood, a place where beautiful women all over the world go hoping to parlay their looks into fame and fortune. These guys are in a unique position and often take advantage of it by being prolific with the ladies. Just looking at the sheer number of quickies and one night stands with groupies, brief flings or extramarital affairs why couldn't there could be a few women nursing a grudge at not getting help with their acting careers or marriage to a wealthy star?
Is it too much to acknowledge that could be a possibility?
Maybe Beatty did what she accused him of, I wouldn't be surprised if he did but I would be equally unsurprised if she is simply an older woman now who maybe feels like it's time to get some compensation for giving herself to him when she was young. Feminists will say that women never lie, but they are liars, as we all know, so this will boil down to a he said she said, though Beatty may end up forking over some cash to simply make it go away, which may be the accusers intention all along.

Is Beatty even cognizant these days?He was a little Bidenesque in public speaking--in his prime--a lot of hemming and hawing.Maybe the Beatty lawyers will ignore all the accusations One thing is certain,after that many women,I believe he varied his exploits to keep from being bored.Therefore,I tend to believe he mixed in some statutory activity as well.

So what? The statute of limitations for this kind of litigation should have expired decades ago. The accuser and her legal enablers ought to be prosecuted for barratry. Incidentally, when I once inquired about the time window for initiating a malpractice claim against a California hospital, I was told that it was six months. Now, that's real cover-your-ass medicine.
Sorta like Errol Flynn and statutory rape charges. "I don't need to rape any woman."
