Medlock allegedly choked out a teammate named Karleigh who she said was making transphobic remarks that she shouldn't be allowed on the team
Medlock claimed she had only been joking with Karleigh, and that she was targeted because of her race and gender
Footage from the incident showed teammates telling Medlock she was a man, while Karleigh's father, Mike Jones, insists there is footage of the assault


A 25 yr. old man in a cheer camp with 17 yr. old teens?

And yes, Averie Chanel Medlock, the alleged choker, is black, though I guessed that even before I saw his name and photo. Article says footage shows "teammates" telling Medlock he is a man (well, he is a man), not that the alleged vic did. No photo of the alleged victim so race is unknown but I have to wonder if is was another black cheerleader and what she really did was call him the n word. That was speculation pure and simple but Whites are generally more accepting of trans people, blacks are not so much.
