Colors

Of all the enlisted men who died in V'nam, blacks made up 14.1% of the total. This came at a time when they made up 11.0% of the young male population.(GRA:Close enough)

Interesting stats because one of the PC notions about the Vietnam war is that black men were all put on the front lines to get killed while all the Whites were REMF's (rear echelon mfr's). I remember Oliver Stone's Platoon portrayed the front lines being nearly all black men. If they were so overwhelmingly over represented in that way why is the number of black troops killed only slightly higher than their enlistee ratio? From what I've read the number of black troops went up as the war went on so it's a little unclear how the number of black soldiers killed relating to the number served match up but it's clear that the Vietnam war was not some kind of genocide project toward black men. A higher ratio of black men may have been on the front lines but that can easily be explained by the fact that the lower educational level a soldier has, the more likely he'll end up on the front lines with a gun instead of typing out reports as support personnel. Something tells me you didn't find many black draftees that could type.

I'm a butler on the White House grounds.
I cannot take it,anymore.
My job's to wake Joe Biden up.

That entire subject has been studied by various authorities using different methodology and documents. Conclusion always the same. Whites were killed about the same percentage as their percentage of the population [USA] and blacks also killed about the same percentage as their percentage of the population [USA].

Blacks hardly the cannon fodder they were portrayed as.
