“Cuckservative” and #NRORevolt: The Rise of the Dissident Right/Alt-Right as One of 2015’s Big Stories

I think one of the big stories of this year was the way the Alt-Right became a social media and meme making independent force, with "cuckservative" and #NRORevolt and many other things. Like I said when the word cuckservative hit the mainstream, the importance of it was internal signaling, that it was our way of mentally separating ourselves from the people we now deride as cuckservatives, mentally declaring independence, and "otherizing" them, or as Martin Buber would have put it, establishing an I-It or I-Thou relationship with the lamestream right. Something that some of you reading these words think we should have done 25 or 50 years ago.

A common criticism of the Alt-Right, touched briefly in this article, is that it/we are an internet-only presence, all we do is talk talk talk. Well, that may be the case, but the hard truth of the matter is that lamestream conservatism itself has been reduced to doing nothing but talk talk talk. The only difference is that lamer cons have way more prominent soapboxes on which to do so, but the reality is just the same.
