Rodriguez-Ortiz was being arraigned Thursday on charges of open murder, felony firearm, felonious assault and domestic assault and battery in the death of 17-year-old Andre Hawkins when he asked the judge about his second murder case. Police confirmed a warrant had been issued in a second case shortly thereafter. GRA:These murders(and others) are already being hidden away and forgotten by local news sites. They'd rather spend extended time on the (white)Larry Nassar sex crimes and forget about the crimes going on in their own city--committed by minorities. And they have the gall to ask, after this last deadly shooting,"Why the increase in murders?" Of course they never give the REAL reason,do they?Black and Mex population is exploding and pouring into previous white areas of the city. They're like kids in a candy store. So much to devour and destroy in so little time. --GR Anonymous
Crime blanks filled in by the mother of recent vic Hawkins. Javika Wallace-Hawkins said her son wasn't the intended target but he was with a girl, a friend, which sent Rodriguez-Ortiz into a "jealous rage." Rodriguez-Ortiz was also accused of assaulting a young woman where the killing occurred.
