"Charles Barkley makes bold statement after timberwolves postponement"
"after saturday's game between the golden state warriors and minnesota timberwolves was postponed due to a fatal shooting at the hands of a federal officer in minnesota, television host and former nba mvp Charles Barkley offered his thoughts live on inside the nba, saying people need to 'step up and be adults.
"Barkley called the situation 'sad' and 'scary,' and said that 'two people have died for no reason.
"that was in reference to saturday's shooting as well as that of Renee Good, who was shot by a federal ice agent in minneapolis on jan. 7.
"Barkley expressed that things are 'going to end badly. it's already ended badly twice."

N.S.: Where was the "bold statement"? There wasn't any. Calling a statement "x" won't make it "x."

"bold statement"..."spoke out"..."breaks their silence"..."iconic".
Please come up with some synonyms for these words and phrases, like, simply "SAID",while skipping "iconic" for the next hundred years--the word has been THAT overused.
And in headlines on-line,write PRESIDENT Trump and not just,"Trump".
"Trump sends national guard..."
"Trump posts racist video..."
"Trump lies during press conference..."
Show some respect.

Why do people attach such importance to the uttering of airheads like athletes and actors. Just because a guy is good at getting a ball in a hoop in no way makes his thoughts of value. These idiots are famous and make a lot of money (for doing nothing worthwhile) so they think they are important.
