WEEKEND AT BRANDON'S TENATIVELY ADDS UP TO 28 BULLET INJECTIONS,SIX NIG NAPS
CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least 28 people have been shot, six fatally, in gun violence across Chicago so far this weekend, police said.
Multiple shootings across the city were part of the latest outbreak of violence in Chicago.
GRA:black physicists like to conduct running experiments on how bullets react to being shot in warm temperatures vs cold. Do they travel straighter,more lethal? Purely scientific.

"At least 28 people have been shot, six fatally" A mathematical wonder!
28 and 6 are Perfect Numbers, the sum of the whole number factors of n other than the number itself.
6 = 1 + 2 + 3
28 = 1 + 2 + 4 + 7 + 14
But I bet someone's trigger-finger physics wrecked the math sometime after the "so far this weekend" tally but not by enough to achieve the next perfect number, 496. Keep at it, Chicago. The scientific method, test those hypotheses, publish reproducible results.
ANCHORAGE,ALASKA JOINS THE MASS SHOOTINGS AROUND THE U.S.--VIC, LEROY MANOGIAMANU(bLACK/POLYNESIAN?)GETS "LAST CALL" AT 2:50 A.M.(ALASKA TIME)
Anchorage police identified the man killed early Sunday as 23-year-old Leroy Manogiamanu.
Police have not released any additional information Monday about what led up to the shooting that left Manogiamanu dead and three others wounded.
Police also did not answer questions Monday about a suspect. Spokesman Chris Barraza said, "We have contacted everyone we believed to be involved with this incident at the moment."
Original story:
A shooting in downtown Anchorage early Sunday left one man dead and three other people wounded, according to police.
Police say the shooting happened at the Gaslight Lounge on West 4th Avenue, an area that has seen multiple late-night shootings over the past several years.
Sunday morning, officers investigating in the area declined to comment, and evidence markers remained outside of the Gaslight. Overnight, people posted multiple videos on social media and livestreamed footage from near the bar, showing blaring police sirens, numerous officers and crowded sidewalks.
In a brief statement Sunday afternoon, police said officers responded to reports of a shooting on West 4th Avenue at 2:50 a.m. Sunday. They found three victims, the statement said: one man dead, one person with life-threatening injuries and one person with injuries considered not life threatening. Medics took them to the hospital.
Police say a fourth victim was later found with non-life threatening injuries.
A police spokesperson said she did not have information Sunday afternoon about whether police were still searching for the suspect.
Police initially said early Sunday that they were looking for a suspect, but in a 2:15 p.m. update did not mention the search. Police also have not identified the victims or provided information about the events that led up to the shooting.
Last year, this stretch of 4th Avenue also saw two fatal shootings around bar break time. In June 2024, police shot and wounded Kaleb Bourdukofsky after he allegedly shot and killed another man, Diego Joe, following a fight outside the Pioneer Bar. Just a month later, police say a fight outside of the Gaslight led to gunfire that killed Tahjeay Baldwin.

BILL COSBY OUTLIVES MALCOLM JAMAL-WARNER WHO,LIKE JOE FRAZIER,COULDN'T SWIM A LICK
SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (AP) — Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who as teenage son Theo Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” was central to a cultural phenomenon that helped define the 1980s, died at age 54 in an accidental drowning in Costa Rica, authorities there said Monday.
Costa Rica’s Judicial Investigation Department said Warner drowned Sunday afternoon on a beach on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast. He was swimming at Playa Cocles in Limon province when a current pulled him deeper into the ocean.
“He was rescued by people on the beach,” the department’s initial report said, but first responders from Costa Rica’s Red Cross found him without vital signs and he was taken to the morgue.
His Theo character was the only son among four daughters in the household of Cliff Huxtable and Phylicia Rashad’s Clair Huxtable on the NBC sitcom, and he would be one of the prime representations of American teenage boyhood on a show that was the most popular in America for much of its run from 1984 to 1992.
He played the role for eight seasons, appearing in each of the show’s 197 episodes and earning an Emmy nomination for supporting actor in a comedy in 1986.
(GRA:Bill Cosby,when informed of Warner's drowning said,"You know,black people can't swim--that's not a rumor--it's a fact! How did I live to be 90 years old? I stayed out of the damn water. You remember Joe Frazier splashing around in the pool and going under on 'Battle of the Network Stars'? THAT'S all black people--even in a puddle on the street. When it rains in the ghetto,they're like fish on land,flopping around--until a gangbanger,in a boat,shoots them. "
