Doc Severinson continues to be a no-show at the Afterlife Tonight Show! Tommy Newsom is filling in for him

Because of the loud, fruity way he dressed and acted on the Living Tonight Show, I always assumed that Doc was queer as a three-dollar bill. Apparently, that was just an act. He has reportedly been married four times (all ending in divorce), and has eight kids.

Meanwhile, Doc Severinson just celebrated his 98th birthday on july 7th. Tommy Newsom is filling in for "Doc" on the Afterlife Tonight Show.

Carson: Where's Doc, Tommy?

Tommy: He STILL hasn't reported to work yet.

Carson: Amazing. Doc's, what, 98 now, Ed?

Ed: Yessir.

Carson: I'll tell you, the big difference between Tommy and Doc is that when Tommy was ALIVE, you couldn't tell if he was breathing (audience laughs).

And now in the afterlife, it isn't any better. Why, Tommy Newsom is sooo dull that he makes GAVIN Newsom seem like he has a personality.

Ed: Ho, ho, ho. I guess all those Newsoms act the same, oh great one.

Carson: Yeah, it's called rigor mortis. Okay, stick around, we have new Afterlife guests Hulk Hogan, Ozzy Osbourne, and one of our favorites--Don Rickles--on after this.
