A female named Ellen Brody committed suicide that way in westchester county, n.y., on february 3, 2015. However, Brody also committed mass murder, slaughtering five Metro North train passengers, and maiming around the same number, when luggage flew off the overhead storage bins, and sheared their limbs off of their bodies.
The local news reported the truth at the beginning, but then went in reverse, and un-reported it.
A new york times alleged reporter named Sam Tanenhaus wrote a "thing" for the new yorker, in which he "disappeared" witness in the car behind Brody, who offered to back up his vehicle, so she could back out, or flee from the tracks. The times reported on her family's funeral for her, where they shamelessly acted as if metro-north were at fault, the rabbi acted as if it were an accident, and her widower's lawsuit, in which he apparently cleaned up to the tune of millions.
Ellen Brody worked for a jeweler. Had she stolen cash and/or valuables, and got caught? Since the media quickly buried the real story, nobody ever asked after the possible motive for her crime...until now.
