Caller:Hello,Felix,I mean Pulver,I mean Harry Stoner,I mean...Jack Lemmon--do you know who this is?

Lemmon:I can tell by the horses I hear running in the background--Walter,you old dog.

Matthau:I never did know how to disguise my whereabouts--which is why I found myself thrown out of my wive's houses so many times--not divorced,mind you,but asked to leave for a while.

Lemmon:Like "The Odd Couple"(laughs).Are you winning at the track?

Matthau:Why do you have to bring up an inconsequential question like--am I winning--Jack?

Lemmon:That's means NO,Larry.

Matthau:A lucky guess, Lemmon .

Larry:Walter,thanks for calling in.

Matthau:Surrre. Hey Larry,maybe when I appear on your show sometime in the future,Mr.Lemmon can return the favor and call in,like I just did.

Lemmon:I would Walter,but I'm still an actor--I make movies--no time.

Matthau:Ha ha,that's very true. See you on the set of "Odd Couple III",in a few monthsJack.

Larry:Thanks again,Walter--back after a commercial break.

GRA:Whoever heard of a program being cancelled--AFTER A YEAR?

Well a lot of speculation over WHY the decade old(seems like longer)"Late Show,with Steven Colbert",is being put out to pasture in May 2026. I saw the CNN report on YouTube and Erin Burnett was more shocked about this than President Trump nearly being killed,a year ago.

"Some reports say the cancellation of the show is due to Colbert's put down of cbs settling with P T. for millions in the '60 Minutes' lawsuit."

She also mentioned,cbs thinks of late night talk as "unprofitable",which the network signaled two years ago by disappearing the "Late,Late Show with James Corden".

"Late" show and "late,late"show were perfect descriptions for these soon to be deceased programs,but in reality,the reason for the lack of popularity of this type of programming anymore is simple: We have no more Carsons,Lettermans,Rickles,Carlins,Newharts,Ann Margarets or Suzanne Pleshettes that the public wants to stay up and see anymore(all White,by the way).

The surviving shows,including Fallon,Seth Meyer and Kimmell will continue to flood late night talk with big mouth blacks and ultra liberal scum and viewership will also continue to drop(therefore,not profitable).

And not entertaining either for normal people. Where has all the talent gone?
