"Guadalupe". The river is hispanic. But the river is not cooperating with the narrative. Despite all that the newsroom has done for nature, despite the river avenging itself on white victims. The editor is screaming. "Narrative pivot! Emergency! Narrative pivot! Someone get the Riverkeeper on camera to lecture the viewers on sustainability and tell them that Drought Stage 3 is still in effect."

Why do they have a campground in a flash flood area? Officials say they didn't expect so much rain but it doesn't matter, weather is unpredictable, flash floods are always a possibility. Rescuers are trying to sound optimistic but those poor girls they haven't found yet are almost certainly drowned.

Is nothing sacred? The symbol of truth, justice and the American way is being co opted by a liberal as*****le to serve as a vehicle to broadcast his leftist ideology. Of course, some of those messages have already been injected into superhero movies, it is Hollywood after all, but it's usually read between the lines subtext. Doesn't sound like Gunn is even bothering with a subtle message, he's gonna put right out there Guarantee this Superman is going to suck, that's how it is when movies nowadays get too preachy with the woke propaganda, they're terrible. The only two movies I've watched by him were the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, and they were both awful.

But you expected Trump to be huddled in the Situation Room with a diverse group of government hacks with an audio feed to the Podunk Emergency Defense office with Sheriff Roscoe and his dog Flash. I'm mad, too. I called Trump to ask him about conditions for my local Chocolate City's fireworks show but he let it go to voicemail. Probably playing golf.

Just zero out the Weather Service completely. Just like PBS, it's an anachronism left over from primitive times, whose service space that has attracted dozens of private sector suppliers. Thankfully Trump has made noises about phasing out good-for-nothing FEMA, too.
