Diversion tactic: King files released by Trump administration--"nothing new," say "historians"
"(ny times) more than 6,000 documents related to the 1968 assassination of the rev. dr. [sic] Martin Luther King Jr., totaling nearly a quarter-million pages, were posted to the website of the national archives late monday afternoon, in what the administration hailed as a triumph of transparency.
"but several noted King historians [mainly David Garrow] said they had found little in the way of new revelations about the death of the civil rights leader in the documents, and noted that the trove does not include f.b.i. wiretap recordings of dr. [sic] King and other materials that remain under court seal until 2027. [N.S.: And which is all anyone cares about, but which I am convinced Garrow has been permitted to see, since he has reported on matters, like King's hotel room rape, which only someone with access to the files would have intimate knowledge of.]
[GRA: the "times" inserts an editorial piece here] "the release on monday, with no prior notice, came at a time when Mr. Trump and white house officials have sought to divert attention from right-wing backlash demanding the release of files related to the death of the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
"Trump administration officials said the King assassination documents include notes on the leads pursued by investigators, interviews with people who knew his killer, James Earl Ray, and previously unreleased details of interactions with foreign intelligence services during the manhunt for Mr. Ray.

How about the "Larry King" files? With what, nine marriages,he must have had a few interesting things going on. Not sure if Larry wrote an autobiography--but the question is, if he did,was the thing an honest recollection?
