Art Bell would be 10 times as popular today as 20 years ago.

Yeah. Art Bell had remarkable success and he did it at an inconvenient hour on an inconvenient medium, having to tune in AM radio after midnight. Now there's loads of wannabes with a twOOterX account and a zootube feed and if they want to look sophisticated, they put it on substack, too. Nothing but noise.
Before that,I used to listen to Larry King,on the radio,in the 70s. Great guests and his "Open Phone America" was hilarious when "regular callers" would irritate him to no end. Many subjects,including UFOs,entertainment,sports and political interviews. YouTube has a limited number of radio shows.to listen to. It ticked me off when he went to tv.
