ai "features"

I'm not impressed with "ai." Even if it's faster, it isn't any more accurate, because PEOPLE programmed it--the same people who have this country up for grabs at this moment (and the last 25 years).

I hate these invasive ai "features" showing up on my computer. Instant top-priority task is to figure out how to turn them off, every time. The search engine started giving a new box at the top with ai's suggestions, and has to be re-killed after each reboot when it reappears. (I should get carbon credits for doing so.) windows copilot button showed up one day, right click, quick, how the hell do I get rid of this squatter? A bunch of stupid kids heading back to daycare high school and let's play college in a few weeks. Now with ai tools, that will make them even more stupid by next spring.

There's been occasional articles in zerohedge about a supposed coming AI bust and I say yes, please, let it be so. Not enthused! It needs to be thrown in the dumpster, trumpster. Your fancy document has a nauseating DC appearance and odor. Did Biden's autopen write it?

Worse yet, here's a republican congress that will start to add regulations and subsidies, fully obamaizing it into an enshrined indispensable piece of The Swamp. Just when you think the 21st century sucks, along comes something else to make it suck even worse.

Reminds me of another "discussion" I had online once; I complained about AI-generated artwork, and was told, more or less, "What's the problem? Why should someone have to take the time and trouble to actually draw/paint something, when AI can generate it instantly?" (Must have been one of those damn "memes.")
I recently read an interview with a contemporary comic book "artist" who said he uses a "digital pen" (God knows how that works) for inking, because it's "too much trouble" to do it with real ink and brush.
Hang onto anything you have that was actually created by human talent, because eventually it will all be gone.

The double post was a mistake- I was sure I'd sent it already, but then it was showing on my computer as if I hadn't so I sent it again! Sorry about that, Chief-
