“(SF gate.com) jan. 10, 10:15 a.m. an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.5 hit near the San Francisco zoo at 9:39 a.m., shortly after a larger one that struck earlier friday morning, according to the U.S. geological survey.
“the aftershock, which had a depth of about 4.7 miles, was 3 miles northwest of the zoo, the same location as the magnitude 3.7 quake that occurred just after 7 a.m.
“San Francisco mayor Daniel Lurie released a statement on x, assuring San Francisco residents that the city is ‘safe in the event of a natural disaster.
