Subject: Arson suspect arrested yesterday had 5 cell phones and a United Nations prepaid debit card on him. That tells you everything.

Happy for James Woods that his house came through the fire in reasonably good shape. He posted "the view from our deck area" (next to the last video on the page here. Looks like it could be Landslide City when the next big rain comes. I hope not but you have to wonder.
MILITARY VEHICLES STOLEN FROM ARMY RESERVE CENTER NEAR LOS ANGELES;NO WEAPONS OR AMMO REPORTEDLY MISSING.
(ZH)About 30 minutes south of Los Angeles, local media has reported that police are searching for criminals who stole three Humvees—one of which was armored—machine gun mounts, and a whole bunch of military-grade gear from the Army Reserve Center in Tustin.
KTLA 5 reported that the Tustin Police Department is investigating the break-in at the Army Reserve Center in Tustin on Wednesday night, between 8 pm and 11:30 pm.
"Multiple storage lockers were discovered with locks removed and missing gear. An attempt was made to cut a lock to uniform storage; however, it was unsuccessful," TPD wrote in a report, adding, "A fence was cut to gain access to a military vehicle parking lot where three Humvees were stolen. The suspects left the area at an unknown time."

Get me started on the United Nations!
December, 1964: the first in a planned series of expensive TV specials dramatizing the "wonderful" work of the U.N. is broadcast. "A Carol For Another Xmas" is produced and directed by the ultra-pretentious and condescending Joe Mankiewicz, and written by the ultra-preachy leftist Rod Serling. Xerox is footing the bill as sole sponsor; the project was supposedly inspired by U.N. rep Adlai Stevenson being "assaulted" by a "right-wing" protestor! Every Commie in Hollywood jumps on the bandwagon to be part of the series, along with some "useful idiots." The John Birch Society (bless 'em!) organizes a letter-writing campaign threatening Xerox with boycott, but the evil corporation just sneers at them. One of the planned shows is about "REFUGEES" who are unable to enter the U.S. ! The response to the effort was tepid, though TV GUIDE claimed the letters sent in to them were mostly favorable to the show. But even the critics were turned off by Serling's hammer-to-the-head lecturing. I believe only one further special was produced.
Jump forward: When the unrepentant (aren't they all?) Communist actress Marsha Hunt receives some sort of award for her "activism," a clueless shill over at CLASSIC IMAGES writes an over-the-top fawning piece saying what a good friend she is of the actress, who is SUCH a charming hostess, and does such WONDERFUL work in support of the U.N., which needs our help because there are actually people out there who want to DESTROY it, and bla-bla-bla. Hunt died shortly after at about 103 years of age, STILL working for the Dems; I believe a documentary was made about her "fine work."
One more jump, back in time: January, 1965, a 2-part episode of KRAFT SUSPENSE THEATRE has a storyline about a threat to blow up the U.N., and the chief suspects are a group of "super-patriots"!

Add: I think the Serling XMAS show is available; don't want to see it, so I haven't checked. The KRAFT show was edited into a feature called STRATEGY OF TERROR, which used to play on TV but doesn't seem to be anywhere online. The Hunt doc is probably available but I sure as Hell don't want to see THAT!

N.S. had that Serling special on here. I watched it,but it must have not made an impression on me one way or the other.
