QUAYSEAN AND TREVONTAE'S NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION WAS TO SAVE KANKAKEE A LOT OF PROBLEMS IN 2025--THEY DO THAT BY GOING TO A HOUSE PARTY ON 12/31/24 AND GETTING NIGNAPPED.
KANKAKEE, Ill. (WGN) — A person of interest is in custody after two people were killed and five others injured in a shooting at a New Year’s Eve party in Kankakee early Wednesday.
The Kankakee Police Department (KPD) said a person of interest with a criminal background is in custody and being questioned.
According to KPD, officers responded to the 1800 block of East Piersen Parkway around 4:40 a.m. to reports of a shooting.
Police said “multiple victims” were taken to area hospitals.
A 22-year-old, who police identified as Quaysean T. Isom, and a 20-year-old identified as Trevontae Ellis, were both pronounced dead at the hospital.
“My understanding is they were siblings, two different last names and two different addresses,” Kankakee Mayor Chris Curtis said. “One is from Kankakee and the other is from the Pembroke area … But my understanding is they are brothers.”
A statement from Curtis said three females and two males were also shot. Their conditions have not been released.
“This shooting and deaths is tragic and we pray for the victims and their families. I’m heartbroken over this for our community and the families. One loss of life is one too many,” Curtis said in a statement posted on Facebook.(GRA:Not if they're thugs) “What is [disturbing] about this incident, is that it was potentially avoidable, as it occurred inside a home having a house party on New’s Year’s Eve. The party lasted many hours into the early morning and had been asked to cease due to loud noise and disturbing the neighborhood. What is more troubling is most of the attendees are not cooperating with police or saying they didn’t see anything. We have to do better Kankakee!”(GRA:LOL,NOT Kankakee--bLACKS!)
Two guns and shell casings were found at the scene. KPD said what led to the shooting is still under investigation.
“We believe there was more than one shooter based on the evidence we’ve collected,” Kankakee Chief of Police Christopher Kidwell said.
GRA:blacks need multiple shooters because one nig by himself can't shoot accurately enough to do the job.
