Steyn this morning, on the lack of concession or even acknowlegment of Trump's victory: "This is still not quite a normal election. Unlike Botswana..."
AnonymousWednesday, November 6, 2024 at 2:06:00 AM EST CROWD ROARS AT TRUMP HEADQUARTERS AS HE BECOMES 47TH PRESIDENT;ELECTORAL VOTE HITS 277(AND COUNTING)AS WISCONSIN GOES FOR THE DONALD.
GRA: Back in June,I thought the assassination attempt of Mr. Trump and his reaction to it("Fight, fight") would carry him to the Presidency. However, following that, when harris replaced biden,I was convinced that the black and mex vote would carry her to victory, but it didn't happen. The people who loved Trump ignored the media, the celebrities, the politicians, the constant venom against Donald Trump and returned him to the highest office in the land.
Being the pessimist I am about politics and people,I wonder what devious things are being planned for him by Dem nutcases. He IS 78 years old and after stops in four cities Monday, the President was walking like a 100 year old(I would too),so I hope his health holds out for the next four years.
I hope for deportations and a toughening of laws on minority crime.
For now,I'm just relieved kumalot harris didn't win.
GRA:I was right about that,as I posted my observation on Saturday. Does this mean that blacks didn't come out to vote for harris because she was a prosecutor?
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — As county clerks around the state wrap up Election Day work, all of the precincts in Kent County are reporting their results.
Inside woodtv.com: Election results Kent County Clerk Lisa Posthumous Lyons said the turnout in the county for the 2024 election was 68.8 percent, the lowest since the 2012 presidential election. The 2020 election had the highest turnout at 72.5 percent, while the 2016 was 69 percent.
“(The turnouts are) all kind of within a small margin. But I was admittedly a little surprised that the turnout was lower,” said Posthumous Lyons.
Early voting seems to shorten lines in West Michigan on Election Day This year was the first presidential election when in-person early voting was available to Michigan voters. Posthumous Lyons said a third of Kent County voters used in-person early voting.
“It clearly did not have an effect on overall turnout, but it’s definitely something that our voters appreciate and want to use that method,” said Posthumous Lyons. “We know that it is a popular method and people are going to continue to use that.”
: (ZH)REASONS WHY TRUMP WON 1. “It’s The Economy, Stupid!” .
2. Immigration, Both Legal & Illegal, Is Out Of Control
3. Folks Are Afraid Of World War III
Americans have never been as afraid of World War III as they are now.
4. The Media’s Smears Against Trump No Longer Work
The past eight and a half years of the legacy media’s smears against Trump no longer have the effect that they used to in manipulating voters’ perceptions of him and have even become counterproductive. The more that they accuse Trump of being a “Nazi” or whatever else, the less that people care.
5. Musk Restored Freedom Of Speech Online
The preceding points are all important, but they wouldn’t have led to Trump’s victory had Elon Musk not restored freedom of speech online by buying Twitter. .
6. Musk, RFK, & Tulsi Made It Cool To Defect From The Democrats
7. The Amish & Poles Helped Trump Pull Ahead In Pennsylvania
The Keystone State became the key to Trump’s victory this time around, and he has the Amish and Poles to thank for that. The Posobiec Brothers (popular conservative commentator Jack and his brother Kevin) recruited their fellow co-ethnics in their home state. The combination of these two, both groups and activists, guaranteed Trump’s victory there.
(GRA:After the fact blather, but nice to know the Poles,of which I'm one, were a key to Trump coming back.)
8. The Republicans’ GOTV Campaign Made All The Difference
The Republicans were determined to make Trump’s lead “too big to rig” after being convinced that he was defrauded out of his rightful second term during the last election. To that end, they embraced early voting and harvested ballots as enthusiastically as their Democrat rivals did four years ago, knowing that literally every vote counts and not wanting to miss a single one. This made all the difference by preemptively averting speculative scenarios by which Trump could have been defrauded yet again.
9. Abortion Is No Longer An Issue In Presidential Elections
The democratic party relied on abortion for so long that they don’t know what to do now that it’s no longer relevant at the presidential level.
10. Walz Was One Of The Worst VP Picks Imaginable
Kamala might have had a chance if she picked Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro as her running mate instead of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, but the former is Jewish and has ties to the IDF, so she feared that she’d lose the Midwest’s Muslim vote if she chose him. That was a mistake since Walz was one of the worst VP picks imaginable and JD Vance made mincemeat out of him during their debate. Most Americans didn’t want Walz one heartbeat away from the presidency after that.

Trump’s political comeback story is one for the history books after the seemingly insurmountable odds that he overcame.
A mix of masterful campaigning, Musk’s purchase of Twitter, and arguably a stroke of divine providence over the summer came together to make this possible.
GRA:I 'll add one more thing:Whites,in general, took their country back--at least nationally. We saw enough--in 2020-2024--to come out in force to stop the commies. Now we have to work on local "problems"--which are blacks in positions of power.
"But wait! Wait!" said Dr. Soytistics, Ph.D. "Kamala Harris's total of 226 electoral votes needs to be race-normed and gender-normed, so she really scored 452."
Memo to President Trump and Republicans in Congress: the Department of Education employs a lot of Dr. Soytistics. We expect that you will significantly reduce its budget and its powers by the time of midterms in November 2026.
Understood? And that's just one item on our list. We have lots more for you on the To Do list.
