"(espn) Kevin Porter Jr.'s ex-girlfriend said the former Houston rockets guard 'didn't hit me' during an alleged fight at a new york city hotel last month that led to Porter's arrest.
"'He never balled his fists up and hit me,' Kysre Gondrezick, a former wnba player, told the new york post on tuesday. 'and he definitely didn't punch me in the face numerous times. that is a lie. I don't have any injuries to support that.'"
Porter was arrested after the alleged attack and initially charged with multiple felonies, including assault and strangulation. However, Manhattan prosecutors dropped one of the assault charges Monday after acknowledging Porter did not fracture Gondrezick's neck vertebrae during the incident.
"Porter still faces charges of second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
"a police spokesperson said shortly after the alleged attack that officers were informed Gondrezick 'sustained a laceration to the right side of her face and was complaining about pain to her neck.' she was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
"Gondrezick said prosecutors didn't wait to interview her before releasing details of her injuries.
"'it happened very fast, not to the degree of what was reported,' she told the post. 'and it was an argument that occurred in the room for not even 10 seconds.'
"Porter is in the process of being traded to the oklahoma city thunder, who will immediately waive him, sources told espn's Adrian Wojnarowski.
GRA: The way he's being moved around, nba teams know something different. They conduct investigations themselves, and Gondrezick must be attempting to save Porter's career with a few whoppers.

Early life
Porter was born in Seattle, Washington, to Ayanna and Bryan Kevin Porter Sr.
In July 2004, when Porter was four years old, his father was shot five times and killed in an altercation in a bar. As a result, he was raised by his mother, who became his role model.

Gondrezick sounds like a polish name. The woman comes from a mixed race family with white father and black mother which is less common.

Wouldn't necessarily blame her for trying to save his career if thats what she's doing. But deciding to press charges is a myth in that it's not up to her alone. People are prosecuted for murder when the victim is dead is not around to press charges. The police probably had a medical or hospital report about the injuries so no need to ask her.
Looks like her sister was the wife of Dwayne Haskins, the qb who was hit by a car and killed in Florida. Strange incident.

In 2022 Porter signed a 4 yr. 63.44 million dollar contract extension, Gondrezick was drafted into the WNBA in 2022 but was ultimately cut by 2 teams. She's now currently out of the WNBA. Even if she was in the WNBA, the average salary is 100K.
Porter was making around 15 million a year. So what if she has to take some haymakers from him now and then, that's a heckuva meal ticket.
