CHICAGO MAYOR LIGHTFOOT SAYS ,"NO,"TO DEFUNDING POLICE DEPARTMENT
(I heard this story while listening to a WBBM radio report)
I'll summarize the reason she gave in one sentence:
" We had 17 murders last weekend."
An avalanche of black activists and politicians are beginning a push to eliminate their various city's police departments through defunding.Supposedly, police will be replaced with social workers and emergency types(firemen, ambulance)in responding to crime reports.
I imagine with that type of scenario, hiring in those fields will never be able to keep up with the turnover of people quitting or getting killed, trying to assist crime victims in the ever growing ghettos which are permeating our cities.
Lightfoot knows better--her city is a jungle.

MINNEAPOLIS BANS CHOKEHOLD BY POLICE/ANOTHER CHOKEHOLD CASE IN TACOMA
Which means it was legal when it was applied to an already ill Floyd.I just saw a video,on YouTube,of police walking him to their vehicle from his initial point of arrest. As he approached the police car,Floyd fell down, then the video ended.
The worst crime I can see anyone being convicted of is negligence, because an ambulance probably should have been called as a precaution.
LATE STORY: I'm watching a story on NNN about a black--Manuel Ellis--in Tacoma, that seems a carbon copy of the Floyd incident. Here,Ellis was restrained by a chokehold and died in custody. He too had drugs in his system and heart problems and the mayor--a big mouthed black female--immediately called Ellis' death, murder.
The police department vehemently opposed the charge of murder.
When these cases go to court, the extenuating circumstances of poor health and drug use MUST be taken into consideration when determining whether murder was committed. In Floyd's case,he was obviously distressed with an undetermined malady that turned out to be cardiac arrest.Cardiac arrest, taking place prior to a chokehold is not murder.

So many political careers I suspect coming to an end because of the war. De Blasio, Frey, Lightfoot. I would surely hope so.
