I used to live withing a few feet of this event. It was a bad neighborhood and I suffered at least 4 burglaries while living there. Note that the man arrested had a Hispanic name--Baca. Hispanics and American Indians have no love for each other. I suspect that Hispanics were protecting the statue of a Hispanic from the Indians. When I rented a dump there, one time I had Apaches dancing in my backyard until late (or early) and camped out there. Why did they pick that spot? Because the other residences were occupied by Hispanics.
