Haiti used to be the biggest donor for plasma to the USA. With HIV and AIDS that long gone.
Great, donors from a place known for Chagas disease. I just read that if a donor is negative for Chagas once, he is not tested again on subsequent donations. So if he catches Chagas the infected blood will go right into the blood supply.
