Barbara Streisand: The Concert Live at The Arrowhead Pond, Anaheim, July 1994 (Complete), and Two Versions of “It’s as if We Never Said Goodbye”

Re-posted by Nicholas Stix

One must learn to compartmentalize, if one would appreciate the artistic gifts of Barbra Streisand, in spite of Streisand's, er, challenging personality.

There are four kinds of people who hate Barbra Streisand—anti-Semites, philo-Semites, non-lefties and lefties….

“On Not Hating Barbra Streisand.”

The Concert

This may be a little confusing. The opening has two parts. First, she played Vegas on New Year’s Eve, 1993, and that part takes place there. The second part is the intro to her performance in Anaheim. (Can you imagine such a concert being held in today’s “Anacrime”?) That series of concerts had to be postponed, due to Streisand developing laryngitis. I didn’t have the time to review the entire show, but her performance of “It’s as if We Never Said Goodbye” is not as strong as in the Vegas show (which has since been removed from Youtube), though not for lack of trying. Her pipes were still hurting.

Can't stand the ugly, obnoxious, bitch. She has the typical attitude of the rich leftist who preaches to the "little people" while doing the opposite herself because she thinks she is so special. She is one of the people I refuse to watch--along with Jane Fonda, Shirley McClain and a few others. And her ugly looks are not because she is Jewish--there are plenty of cute and beautiful Jewish actresses--but Streisand is not one of them.

Her singing isn't all that great either, it's cold like her personality.
