Detroit the situation far worse than almost any other place. Far worse in most circumstances. This guy spent some time in Detroit doing research? He is lucky he made it out alive. Why is any of this a surprise.

Detroit seventy years ago among the half-dozen to dozen most important cities in the world. Look at it now. And still going downhill irrevocably. Never going to get better.
