Charles de Gaulle and Donald Trump

By Nicholas Stix

The other day, Trump said that as a leader, he would need to have the element of surprise on his side. He go the usual Pavlovian condemnation that his racial socialist and slutservative enemies respond with to everything he says or does.

“A true leader always keeps an element of surprise up his sleeve, which others cannot grasp but which keeps his public excited and breathless.”

Charles de Gaulle

Of course, the Trump-haters were responding to the man, and not the words. Different speaker, different reaction.

Hillary is merely reading a script written for her. Donald is not. He is spontaneous and good at it. Viva Donald.
