I hope Coppola's last hurrah movie is good, but this had nothing to do with its quality. He was the man of the '70s, and has refrained from bad-mouthing the racist/sexist/sexual psycho take-over of the academy. As Harry told the assembled press in Independence, on his 80th birthday, "Remember me as I was, not as I am."
Coppola, who has long had notoriously expensive tastes in food and drink, has lost a great deal of weight, never a good sign in an old man of his known predilections.

And I haven't heard ANY veteran director (Scorsese, Spielberg, etc.) speak out against the new "woke" rules for Award inclusion, or against forced "diversity" in general.
