As I recall, a number of years ago there was a federally-funded study to find out why lesbians tend to be fat. I suspect it may be a chicken and egg problem: perhaps lesbians become lesbians because they are too fat for most men to want. On the other hand, being unattractive and unloved by men, they eat to comfort themselves. In any case, the casual observer will notice a distinct correlation between fatness and lesbianism.
