completely undistinguished director I'd never heard of died at 77; the hollywood reporter considers his career to have been important for no other reason thast that he was a homosexual

From what little I've read of the Hollywood Reporter lately,it's as commie as Xi and Mao Tse Tung,as woke as msnbc and as pro-black as blm.

Make of this what you will, I never heard of this "major filmmaker" either, or any of his movies: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/monsterkidclassichorrorforum/terence-davies-director-house-of-mirth-neon-bible--t90803.html I did get a laugh, however, from "...his adherence to traditional filmmaking and a dedication to keeping the past alive.." followed by "...he displayed an ability to adopt new tools such as CGI..." Just like that great film scholar and "traditionalist," Scorsese! By the way, everything GRA said about Hollywood Reporter goes equally for the site I linked to, run by a former USA TODAY editor. For reasons that mystify me, film buffs more often than not lean far to the Left... -RM
