“(ktla) a palmdale man has been arrested in the shooting death of los angeles county sheriff’s deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer, officials announced monday.
“Kevin Salazar, 29, was taken into custody around 5 a.m. after a standoff lasting several hours.
“‘We are extremely confident we have the right person in custody,” l.a. county sheriff Robert Luna said in a monday morning press conference.
“Kevin Salazar, accused of killing a los angeles county deputy, was taken into custody on Sept. 18, 2023. (key news network)
“Clinkunbroomer, 30, was found unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds in his squad car near the palmdale sheriff’s station at the intersection of sierra highway and avenue q around 6 p.m. saturday.
“He was pronounced dead after being taken to the antelope valley medical center.
“investigators believe he was ambushed and killed for no apparent reason, and Luna described the attacker as a ‘coward.’”
GRA: Sorry I’m on this rant about “no apparent reason,” but what apparent reason would justify shooting ANYONE—except self-defense?

Lesta Holt had the story and his second sentence was,"What was the motive?"
nnn talked to spic neighbors who said,"He heard voices--mentally ill."
In other words,nnn declares,NO motive--he was nuts--so fuhgeddaboudit.

I guess the "reason" media is looking for motive with all these stories,is so they can mete out the "crazy card" or even the "race card",which would excuse a minority from responsibility for murdering a cop like Clinkunbroomer or Whites like you and me.Then media can chalk it up to circumstances beyond anyone's control,in the "crazy card" example,to "it's Whitey's fault" with the race card example.
That's how media keeps score and decides the amount of attention to pay to a story.Whites have their own categories by which media rates coverage:
Was Whitey racist?(full coverage)
Was Whitey rich and evil?(full coverage)
Was Whitey a mass murderer-- or psycho?(full coverage)
If blackie is racist--no coverage.
blackie rich and evil(rapper?)low coverage.
blackie a mass murderer or psycho?(low or no coverage).

Like I said, sometimes the villains just attack and kill a cop to get rep and respect when they go to prison.
