Well made thriller about an ex-driver for the mob (George C. Scott), now retired and living on a beach with nothing else to do, and nothing else he knows how to do.
When he's called upon after nine years to perform a job, he accepts it, simply to see if he still has what it takes.
The film boasts suspenseful car chases, impressive cinematography, great locations, a compelling script and, as always, a strong performance from Scott as the world-weary driver who gets more than he bargains, for as he accompanies an escaped prisoner and his girlfriend across country.
