I had a lady with a support dog sit next to me on a flight from NY a few years ago. However, I can't say it was a bad experience. The lady was young, attractive and friendly. We had a nice time talking and her dog was cuddly, sweet and affectionate, stretching out to use my leg as a pillow while I chatted with it's owner. It helped pass the the time on a long 6 hr. flight. Despite that, I still think the support animal thing has gotten out of hand, people don't need their animals around for every damn thing, especially when it inconveniences other people.
Singapore airlines usually has a # 1 rating for international flights. Maybe not any more. Maybe Abu Dhabi or UAE airlines.

I think some folks give their dog a sedative before the flight. Keep the beast calm.
