On Saturday night, police identified a suspect and a person of interest in the investigation. Police said the suspected shooter was a Hispanic man between 5 feet 7 inches and 6 feet tall, between 25 and 30 years old, and weighed between 160 and 195 pounds. Officials said he had a light beard and was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt with dark jeans, a white and purple Colorado Rockies hat, a gold chain and white and gray Nike Air Jordan 1 sneakers.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says a 17-year-old is charged with murder in a shooting that left three Eau Claire High School students dead and an Alcorn Middle School student injured.
Lott spoke Monday afternoon to announce that 17-year-old Jakeem Griffin had been arrested earlier in the morning for a shooting that took the lives of 16-year-old Jakobe Fanning, 17-year-old Dre’Von Riley, 16-year-old Caleb Wise. He's also charged with attempted murder of a 14-year-old who was also wounded.
According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, deputies were dispatched around 2 p.m. Sunday to the 200 block of Saddletrail Road, which is off Fairfield Road, just outside of Columbia. That is in the Lincolnshire subdivision.
Deputies say when they got to the scene they found four people with gunshot wounds, The sheriff's department said they were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Three of the victims, all teens, died. The 14-year-old was shot in the lower body and has been released.
Lott said the shooting arose over what he called "something stupid," a beef that had begun years ago.
"You stand here and you shake your head and you wonder why," Lott said. "Why can't these kids do something else than resort to violence and using guns?"
Lott said the victims were sitting in front of the house when the shooters walked up to them an started firing. He said there was a chaotic scene because of so many gunshots fired.
Lott said there were looking to make additional arrests.

IN A HARBOR "INCIDENT" OVER THE WEEKEND
HONOLULU (KHON2) — A search is underway for a suspect considered ‘armed and dangerous’ after two men were killed in Waianae early Saturday morning.
In a press conference, the Honolulu Police Department detailed that the incident happened after an argument escalated at Waianae Boat Harbor just before 1 a.m.
“Gunshots were heard and multiple vehicles were seen leaving the harbor,” said HPD Lt. Deena Thoemmes.

Thoemmes confirmed four victims sustained gunshot wounds. A 29-year-old man was found dead inside a vehicle at the scene and a 19-year-old man later died from his injuries after being taken to the hospital.
The other two victims were taken to the hospital — a 21-year-old woman in critical condition and an 18-year-old man who remains in stable condition. Police said the 18-year-old was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle.
Sources told KHON2 News over 20 shots were fired.

(WTKR)According to officers, the four other people who were injured are recovering.
The shooting left many in the neighborhood shaken up in what neighbors call their quiet neighborhood.
"Slightly alarmed for sure. We’re always bike-riding and this is my daughter’s bus stop for school," Adrienne Mattia, a Chesapeake resident said.
Mattia lives a few houses down from where the shooting happened and has lived in the neighborhood for three years.
"Not too much goes on around here. It’s pretty quiet. There’s never been anything like this since I’ve lived here," Mattia said.
One resident who lives across the street from where the shooting happened offers his condolences to the family of the 14-year old who was killed.
"It is really crazy. I do pray for the family. It’s not a common thing that happens around here so it’s a shocker. He ended being so young which definitely sucks," the neighbor said.
One boy who lives in the neighborhood said he’s friends with one of the boys who were shot.
“We've been playing basketball right here for 4 years now so it's like it's crazy for me to hear that,” the teenager said.
A motive and circumstances regarding what led up to the shooting are unknown, as of Sunday night.
