Check out his smile during the mugshot. Either he has some reason to believe he can skate on this somehow, or he’s just plain nuts. Of course, this is Georgia and if the demographics of the town are mostly black, the voters might actually consider this a badge of honor. Appears the burglary might now only be one of his problems, according to the article: “the Fulton county district attorney’s office now says an investigation is underway surrounding city of south fulton mayor Khalid Kamau.”
Nice to know there are still some places releasing mugshots to the public but with a name like Khalid Mamau, there wouldn’t have been much doubt about this one.
Here is am interesting youtube commentary on the incident. The guy points out that Georgia is a stand-your-ground-type state, and you can blow someone away you catch in your home, so Kamau is lucky the homeowner didn’t pull the trigger. Kamau might be lucky’ I’m not so sure about the general public.

I thought the "mayor" caught someone in his home. OH, he is the burglar.
What the mayor forgot say is that "I'm looking for some dude that owes me some money." Just happened to walk into the wrong house.
