N.S.: Some of my readers will recall that at the beginning of the first "Obama" administration in 2009, Jones was hired by President John Doe to be his green czar, until it came out that Jones was an open communist, and Doe actually let him go. Imagine that!

METS LOSING STREAK REACHES 18.
In the 2020 baseball year that might have been,the Mets ridiculously bizarre faux season continued last night with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chicago Cubs,as both starting pitchers,Noah Syndergaard and Jon Lester each pitched complete game no-hitters for their respective teams.
Lester walked two and struck out 11 while Syndergaard,statistically at least,outpitched the Cubs lefty with one walk and 13 Ks.
The jinxed Mets lost it in the 3rd inning as with two outs,the Cubs 8th place hitter,Kyle Schwarber,received the only pass Syndergaard would issue on this cool night.Lester than dropped a surprise bunt that 3rd sacker J.D Davis scooped up and threw past first baseman Pete Alonso,scoring Schwarber.
It was goose eggs the rest of the way.
Actress Geena Davis,the 18th manager of the Mets historic season was immediately fired and replaced by Tom Hanks.This Mets team is definitely in "A League of Their Own" in 2020 and the last two managerial choices prove it.
The no hitter was the first for the Mets since 2012 when Johan Santana tossed the first Mets no hitter in history vs St.Louis.
Game two of the series is Saturday night.

Police Shutdown Dozens Of Parties During Lockdown in Detroit

Detroit Police have touted on social media that they issued hundreds of citations and broke up dozens of parties during the coronavirus lockdown, reported Detroit Free Press.
A new Facebook post via the Detroit Police Department details how thousands of folks across Wayne County, or mainly in the Detroit Urban Area, have neglected to follow Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's stay-home order.
The post reads: "Thank you Detroit for being the eyes and the ears of our community. Since April 4, Detroit Police Officers have checked over 10,631 locations, given 1,614 warnings, issued 736 citations, shutdown over 24 parties and closed 27 businesses to ensure compliance with the Governor's "Stay Home, Stay Safe" Executive Order…"
Lockdown to be extended by three weeks, says Raab
The incident report data was released on Friday and dated back to April 4. The problem developing, as shown in the chart below, is that warmer weather trends are ahead for Detroit, which means more and more people will be outside, and make it near impossible for police officers to enforce public health orders.
