Flooding Our Country with Third World Criminals as Reparations: The New York Times Has Really Jumped the Shark on this One

Mehta wrote approvingly of asylum fraud here:  https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2011/08/01/the-asylum-seeker

Open borders and flooding of our country as reparations for centuries of wrong-doing.

Another aggrieved immigrant to the U.S. pushes the case for no borders at all, because after all, it's payback time, baby, big-time:

Why Should Immigrants 'Respect Our Borders'? The West Never Respected Theirs
Immigration quotas should be based on how much the host country has ruined other countries.
By Suketu Mehta

Mr. Mehta is the author of "This Land Is Our Land: An Immigrant's Manifesto."

You would think these immigrants would display some sort of gratitude toward their adopted country. But they do not. They enjoy a way of life and opportunity here they would never get in their own land. But that does not seem to matter. If no gratitude, at least they could just keep their mouths shut. But that also does not happen.

Mehta is a poster child for why we need to stop immigration--and especially from India. A higher percentage of Indians voted for Hillary than any other group. And Indians are aggressive with a lust for power--just look at all the new Indian politicians--and their socialist values.
As for colonialism--an article in The Economist showed that countries which experienced colonial rule were better off economically than ones which hadn't.
Leftists like Mehta are a cancer invading the body or our country. India is a socialist mess. Most people there don't even use toilets and the socialist government keeps it impoverished. But typical, immigrants like Mehta escape the hellhole of their own countries and then seek to make American more like the mess they escaped from.
Time for a moratorium on immigration--especially from India.

Gratitude would be,not bringing the standard of living down with crime, laziness, filth(and yes shutting up).We already have those three problems with blacks.I agree with both posters--we need to get this country in some sort of fiscal order.Taking in those that can't add to the coffers(and I don't mean minimum wage or under the table pay),must be kept out.
