Fleetwood Mac Still Exists? Who Knew?! Geriatric Rock Group Makes Splash with Firing!

This band knows how to play the media. Do you know how many times they've made records or gone on tours without one or more of the trio of Nicks, Buckingham or McVie? They've all been in and out of the lineup for various reasons for decades. Buckingham in particular has had a volatile relationship with everyone and been "fired" before, but invariably ends up working with the band again. So he didn't want to do a world tour, neither did McVie for their last tour when Nicks and Buckingham toured together without her as FM. Doesn't mean he won't be willing to come back for the next tour or work with the band on the next CD they put out, in which case he'll simply be "rehired". However, putting out a lurid press release about how he has been "fired" makes for headlines and promotion for the tour.
BTW, he is the most important member in the group, he writes their best material and gives the band and edge, without him they're kind of bland.
