Chicago: Ambulance Shot While Medics Treat "Unruly" Patient

An ambulance was shot in Englewood early Sunday morning while Chicago Fire Department medics treated a patient who became unruly and attacked a paramedic. Police said charges are pending against the patient. They are also investigating the shooting.

Problems with the paramedics going into bad neighborhoods in Chicago has been a problem for decades now. This is the type of crime that merits three times the amount of punishment. But that never seems to happen.
