"Here is the punchline: 'working closely with district attorneys who are declining prosecutions for both felony and misdemeanor arrests and letting suspects right back out onto the street.' Really? DANY was supposed to call me back more than a month ago after they gave a recidivist 10 days of community service. Even left a vm for Meg Reiss. Response: Crickets. I am disgusted with them. The DAs don't care and neither do Dems in Albany. DANY even warned me that I need to be mindful if I even criticize their work as subpar. Meg Reiss, Alvin Bragg's chief prosecutor, has argued for critical race theory ideology to be integrated into the criminal justice system as part of a "new paradigm of prosecution," while claiming criminals are not necessarily "bad dudes." "So one of the first things [to] do is change the language: ‘the bad dude.’ What does that mean? What are the circumstances of that person coming into the criminal justice system in the first place? And what is the background to that person?... And is there a solution, alternative solution for that person other than being incarcerated?' Bragg's chief has said she believes all prosecutors have a 'responsibility' to fix 'mass incarceration.' 'Your charging authority gives you the power to check and counterbalance some police actions,' Reiss' IIP said. 'recognize the systems that are upstream from your office that may perpetuate racial disparities in the justice system, and take steps in your own office to resist those trends.'"
N.S.: The nyc das' offices have supported violent, colored criminals going back to Robert Morgenthau.
This is a worthless puff piece from the head of the nyp crime bueau, Tina Moore. (No, I have no history of dealings with Moore.)
Try and find anything in the "thing" that bears on its hed. I won't hold my breath.

"Reshaping" into a blob of insignificance.

If you don't treat criminal activity as a crime, you eliminate recidivism. This has been the blm goal for years.
