For a few years, I darned near religiously read David Cole’s column. Then he got into a bad habit of hispandering. The blacks may be bad, but hispanics are fine and dandy.
For the first time in a while, I read his latest column, and there are some valuable nuggets about the trouble with gopers.
“blacks who show any signs of Hitler fetishism or Holocaust denial are even more insane than whites who do the same.”
The column, “blacks can’t hold their Hitler,” was inspired by black republican, Mark Robinson.
But here’s the rub: Cole keeps cursing his fool head off, like a 13-year-old. Was he drunk at his word processor?

“Okay, I’d question that one, but hey—what do I know?
“well, maybe a lot. maybe a fu—ing lot.
[from 2023:] “during my Holocaust revisionist days, one of the most jarring truths was that ALL of the nonwhites in that circle—hispanics, ay-rabs, even the occasional black—were dangerously psychotic. brutish, impulsive, simple-minded, no concept of the intricacies of my work. they were the ones everyone was afraid would pop off and start killing. I’m telling you, from 34 years of experience, that kind of thing (Hitler worship, Holocaust denial) attracts the worst people on earth. the neo-Nazi/Holocaust denial/White supremacist fringe is a cancer. it kills whatever it touches.
“anyone listen to me? noooooo. the gop embraced Robinson (and Trump really embraced him), assuming that his public Hitler/Holocaust comments couldn’t possibly be the tip of an iceberg.
“I warned ’em, I warned ’em, I warned ’em to be wary of such creatures. and nobody listened.
“fu—ing idiots….
“that’s today’s conservative literature scene in a nutshell: ghostwritten books offered to illiterates.
“ghost writers, ghost readers.”

I say possibly because casualty estimates vary but it's the worst loss for russian paramilitaries in africa. What are the russians doing in africa anyways? I thought the US and Europe was responsible for all the evil military adventurism in the land of Wakanda, at least according to the left. Things have changed though, the Russian influence is growing and China now the dominant economic influence in Africa:

The left is noticeably silent about these developments on the world stage. Back in the day they were enraged about US "imperialism" and any kind of tampering with foreign regimes. But when it's non Whites like the chinese, eastern bloc countries or islamic regimes, then they aren't the least bit concerned.
Apparently, a lot of africans are concerned and are violently resisting these "kind and gentler" imperialists.
I realize that is a simplistic analysis, the West is financing and arming some of those groups fighting against the russians, some of them may even be islamics and those alliances may shift and change depending on political and economic circumstances.
The idea that if the US backed off and let these 3rd world completely alone that the world would be peaceful and idyllic is absurd. No US means there is a vacuum and others will step up and fill that space. As much complaining as the world does about the US being the dominant economic and military power, they are discovering that allowing certain rivals to gain the advantage isn't such a good thing after all.
IS DAVID COLE A JERK AS A WRITER?
This is not about his political and social commentary, which I often find sensible. I don’t care for David Cole’s writing on stylistic grounds which link to more serious intellectual failings.
Number one is his frequent resorting to profanity in the most trivial occasions. Resorting to the s- and f- words in ordinary discourse is like a dinner guest ostentatiously picking his nose and admiring the results for all to see: the ne plus ultra of bad manners. More than this, it demonstrates a lamentably impoverished vocabulary when all one can say is “shit” and “fuck” instead of whatever expressions that can convey precisely what you mean.
Another problem with his writing is his hyperbolic style, the extreme exaggerations of his comparisons. We are supposed to admire them or laugh at his prompting, but they don’t work for me, being too far-fetched--grossly so, to the point of stupidity or meaninglessness.
Thirdly, in his Takimag column and his emails from bestservedcole@substack.com Cole frequently mentions offhandedly—really boasts about--his alcoholism as a long-established habit, if we are to believe his accounts. That Cole assumes we will find his chronic drunkenness tolerable, if not amusing, indicates an almost childlike delight in self-display, no matter what the subject. The same egotistical self-display creates his hyperbolic, profanity-ridden literary style. The writer seems blissfully ignorant of how the persona created by his words affect an actual audience.
He's a regular Hemingway,Foster Brooks or Dean Martin,except he can't write,tell jokes or sing.
