Good afternoon! Look both ways before you cross the street.

SF cops, firefighters, and residents have all complained about the dangers of driverless vehicles, but on Thursday the California PUC is likely to approve their unfettered operations in the city. Joe Eskenazi looks into the tremendous amounts of power and money behind Cruise's plan to "blanket" San Francisco with thousands more robot taxis.

We just saw an example of what can happen when a driverless vehicle freezes. Last night, a stalled robot car forced drivers into the new center bike lane on Valencia. Cars drove into the lane between bollards that are supposed to protect cyclists.
