Given that the killing did not happen during the commission of another crime, like a robbery, but was (assuming the story is true) the result of a spontaneous fight, the stabber probably will not be prosecuted as an adult. Which means out and free by mid- to late-20s, maybe without a retrievable criminal history (since it was a juvenile case it may or will be sealed, which is the point of juvenile cases).
She only dee-fended herself. She didn't get ree-spect.
