If 99 % of the shots fired are done so in a minority area I would expect 99 % of the shots as detected by Shotspotter to be located in a minority area. Some people have a hard time with that reasoning however.
Denial of an ethnic groups own behavior.Not only that but an insistence to not change that behavior.

I recall reading that the New Orleans PD one time did an experiment to see what the reaction of the locals would be in the lower 9th ward NOLA. An area predominantly if not exclusively negro.
Fired off something like 900 gunshots [seems like a lot] in the area but not one report from the public of any shots being fired. Gunfire in the colored area was so routine.
