cops and woodtv provide an “update,” of sorts, on grand rapids homicide, but are sparing, when it comes to salient facts, beyond saying, “the four people involved in leonard street killing knew each other”

GRA: The update is part of a story wood is doing on teens getting murdered in gr. No name or race indicated yet.
(woodtv) the teen was a victim in a Monday afternoon homicide on leonard street, located on the city’s northeast side. It is believed that the group of young boys involved in the shooting knew each other. A witness told news 8 that he saw four boys. Three of them were riding on bicycles and approached another young man who was walking down the street. After a brief conversation, the witness says he heard gunshots.
[GRA: That’s what normally occurs when you go up to someone? The person approached, opens fire? Something very unusual about this incident.]
According to a spokesperson with the grand rapids police department, the shooting marked the fourth fatal shooting this year in the city where the victim was a teenager.

N.S.: the grpd has still failed to convince me that this particular killing was a murder, as opposed to a justifiable homicide. And the witness didn’t just “hear” gunshots. He would have seen quite a bit, too.

I noticed WOOD left out the ski mask observation by the White witness on the update--a huge piece of information to edit out.Who wears a ski mask in 80° temps in the afternoon,when driving up to someone on bicycles--unless a crime is going to be committed?
Then one of the three gets shot.The inference is that all four in this little meeting were black,but I'm allowing for the possibility that the pedestrian was White(though how many Whites carry a gun while walking?)

Leonard Street shooting ruled a homicide--bicyclist ID'ed.
(Wzzmtv)GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The July 4 shooting death of a teenager in Grand Rapids has been ruled a homicide, according to the Kent County Medical Examiner.
The victim has been identified as 16-year-old Ja’Juan Webb.
He was on a bike at the time of the shooting. Officers responded to the shooting in the 500 block of Leonard Street NE around 3:40 p.m., where Webb had died from his injuries.
There were multiple shots fired, and bullet casings were found all over the road, according to police.
There is currently no one in custody for the shooting.
Grand Rapids Police's Major Case Team is still investigating. Police are canvassing neighbors for any possible witnesses.
GRA:Don't they believe Whitey?Maybe in black law,you throw out Whitey's statements.The White witness seemed very specific--that the three blacks rode up to the pedestrian(all three wearing ski masks)and Ja'Juan was shot.
Maybe just for his name.

I'm going to take this from another point of view.If the pedestrian had been White--and was being robbed or threatened--I believe he would have stayed and told the cops what happened.Since he ran--like all good blacks do--I now believe it was a black pedestrian.
Theory:The three blacks were told to meet the shooter at that location,which made it an easy hit.The ski masks are the fly in the ointment,with that scenario,however.

(WOODTV)Two days later, no arrests have been made. But the teen’s family says they know who did it, saying they believe the killer is someone Webb had had been feuding with for months.
GRA:So will the Webbs squeal on the shooter?And what happened to the ski masks?Why were the three negro teens wearing them--to scare the black guy walking?(I'm assuming he's black now).
These and other questions will be answered in our next episode of "As the Ghetto Churns".
Actually I won't,because there's nothing new in this incident after all--typical black behavior.My last report unless I see a surprise twist somewhere.
