R.C.: Have you noticed that everything is "historic" when it comes to blecks?
But when it comes to white history….
Most of his childhood acquaintances have moved away as Seattle's historic Black neighborhood has changed and become more expensive — to places like Kent, Everett and Federal Way. Collins and his grandmother relocated to South Seattle when he was in high school, leaving behind the playground where he made friends and the stores where his grandmother liked to shop.

Easy solution is to just leave EVERYTHING alone.Every statue is important to someone--and no more important to the blacks than they are to whites. The "pain" of seeing Confederate statues is fake. It's a damn statue.I oppose statues of MLK and other blacks, but respect the fact that someone wanted them built. If,however, you tear down statues of whites, black statues must also go,because the black race cannot be memorialized over the white race--it's that simple.
