Here is some solid analysis, along with a number of maps and graphs on life expectancy. It's amazing to see that estimated life
expectancy around the world prior to 1800 was less than 40.

1918 the largest pandemic in recent history. But not the worst ever.

The use of soap and water on a regular basis the single greatest advancement in health care. That water too clean and drink-able water.
