NM Homelessness Rate on the Rise, Highest in Nation

ATR: New Mexico is an impoverished dump.

Outside of Santa Fee and a few other areas the state is nothing but trailer parks.

Wonder how many residents are illegals?

They come up the Interstate 25 corridor from the border.

Maybe parts of it -- but it also has beautiful scenery -- the drive East into NM from AZ on Hwy 60 offers some fantastic views -- you pass by the VLA = Very Large Array of radio telescopes, which was featured in the Jodie Foster movie Contact -- the VLA is located in a large ancient lake bed, surrounded by mountains -- I remember sometimes going 15m without seeing another vehicle (same in eastern AZ).

Albuquerque at a cross-roads where two important interstates come together. I was there several years ago and lots and lots of panhandlers.
