Saw the story -- read the details, e.g. the excuse he offered for the evidence of a sex crime.
I was last in NYC about 15 years ago, and in walking around on a weekend noticed some kind of a parade -- saw some of "NYC's finest" lolling about watching, so I asked what it was -- they said it was the 'Pakistani Day Parade' (as I recall) -- I let go a kind of WTF remark about there being such a thing, which did not go over too well.
The only surprise is the perp isn't black.
