Burgess Owens Says Democrats Should Pay Reparations (Video)

Re-posted by Nicholas Stix

Burgess Owens: Great player, great father, great man.

Full disclosure: We’re friendly acquaintances. I usually refrain from mentioning that, lest it hurt my acquaintances and friends, but it’s a matter of public record that Burgess has reprinted one of my essays on black history, “Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. DuBois: A Black History Month Moment,” as chapters in two of his books, It's All About Team: Exposing the Black Talented Tenth (2012), and Liberalism, or How to Turn Good Men into Whiners, Weenies and Wimps.

At the risk of sounding like I'm engaging in double-talk,I have two opinions on Burgess Owens. He sounds like a smart guy.I see him on FOX occasionally and he says all the right things--like Larry Elder does.On the other hand,I don't trust blacks who side with whites or whites who side with blacks.
What are the motivations?(money probably)
Trying to hedge the future? (only if Owens and Elder think whites are going to POSSIBLY win the race war that's in progress).
That's what I believe whites--who support blacks--are motivated by.Hedging a future where blacks tell THEM what to do--and there are blacks trying the same strategy.
Who would YOU trust? For me,neither one.

Tell Owens that nobody should pay reparations on account of their own race. An simply being a "Democrat" doesn't tell us anything. There were plenty of anti-segregation people in the party even in the South. Truly, this is a variation on guilt by association -- in this association with a name as opposed to a person.

That raises the question: What's in it for this guy? Money? TV appearances? A speaking gig at the Republican convention next summer?
