Taco Bell Hell Video: Hispanic Hialeah, Florida Drive-Thru Worker, Luisa, Refuses Service to Black Customer, Alexandra Montgomery, for Speaking English, Threatens to Call Police on Her!

This video and story came from Reader-Researcher R.C., as well as colleagues, and later, every conservative blog.

Note that Luisa knew English—she understood what black customer Alexandria Montgomery was saying, but refused to serve her. This may have been racial; most Hispanics (excluding Puerto Ricans) hate blacks with the sort of passion that the media, academia, and activists typically project onto whites, who comprise what are by far the most racially tolerant group in America.

Taco Bell says that it has fired Luisa, but apparently nobody else at that Hialeah restaurant.

This story reminded me of an incident academic Herb London wrote about in Chronicles magazine during the 1990s. London was driving out in the Chicago area, and needed directions. He stopped in a fast-food joint (a McDonald’s, if memory serves), to ask for directions. Not a single restaurant worker spoke English.

And several years ago, when we had to transfer in Miami International Airport, on the way from New York City to Trinidad, I asked some airport workers for directions, but they all insisted that they knew no English.

Go to any McDonald's and place an order. 80 % of the orders are wrong in some manner. You have almost all minority working in the place with a lot of Spanish speakers. Behind the counter in the "kitchen" almost without exception Spanish spoken.

The McDonald's near my workplace in Austin, Texas just might have all Spanish-speaking employees, a few of whom know some English. If you walk in (rather than use the drive-through), they'll ignore you until you leave. Maybe I'll give it another shot in a year or so, when the entire current crew will have quit or been fired. Then again, probably not.

This same McDonald's gets pretty bad Yelp reviews: wrong orders, rude behavior, etc.

In contrast, our local Taco Bell has had a couple really good, friendly managers through the years. The place happens to have one now.
